Turner Industries Group is looking for a self-motivated team player to assist in supporting the Operations areas of our business in the role of an Operations Business Systems Analyst

This position is involved in the development of valuable software products supporting the business of Turner Industries Group.  He/she holds and conveys product business goals, vision and strategy to the development team. By tactfully working with users, performing requirements gathering, leading estimation meetings, storyboarding, researching, testing or training the analyst skillfully guides a team to developing a product that meets the current and future needs of business.  He/she drives project direction by prioritizing features in the backlog. The position is also responsible for visibility and transparency of a project through constant collaborative communication with business stakeholders, team members and IT Management.

Typical Duties:

Project Execution

  • Documents user organization's direction, structure, business processes and requirements
  • Create business models, dictionaries, roadmaps, storyboards, MVP (Minimal Viable Product), MMF (Minimum Marketable Feature) and estimates for the product
  • Clearly articulate Operations ERP roles, project goals, risk analysis, project status updates, guidance, and timelines to team and management
  • Develop a solid understanding of the users, the business and competitive advantage brought from developing the product
  • Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback
  • Adheres to project standards defined by IT management
  • Accurately employs IT methodology and documentation tools
  • Build & prioritize the features list meeting the product requirements

Technical Recommendations and Testing

  • Assists in the creation of tests plans and/or acceptance criteria
  • Accurately and efficiently executes test plans and/or acceptance criteria
  • Ability to troubleshoot any product issues and communicate to development team recommendations

  • Generates innovative solutions by approaching problems with curiosity and open mindedness, using existing information to its fullest potential

Education

  • Degree preferably in a business or technical field

Experience

  • 5+ years as a business analyst, product owner or closely related field
