Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Level II RT Technicians for work in the Beaumont, TX area.  Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the area.  Required duties are associated with NDE of materials in accordance to referencing code. Reports to Area Manager.  Certifications in Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UT), Liquide Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Testing (MT), and Positive Material Identification (PMI) are a plusIf you do not currently hold the certification, you must show certificate from classroom training and required field experience.

  • Minimum 40 hours per week, Overtime as needed on weekly basis during shutdowns
  • Local candidates preferred, no per diem; long-term work, nested group for region
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Must have TWIC card
  • Scope includes performing NDT inspection as scheduled and discovery work items with direction from plant inspection group

Functional Requirements:

Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift; minimum of 200 hours of on the job training and passing the radiographer exam to acquire the state industrial radiographer card; develops an understanding and working knowledge of the company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc; required to perform assigned work; knowledge of state regulations for boundaries and radiation safety for source containment; has successfully completed all studies and test including the ASNT RT Level 2 internal testing; has met both C and B requirements, ability to work full time without supervision and accuracy on all jobs; maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.

 Qualification Standards:

1)         Certified industrial radiographer 

2)         40 hours radiation safety course

3)         Preferably five (5) years of experience in specified skill

4)         Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation


Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction..

Mental Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of pipe spools, figures and objects; following oral and/or written directions; reading and writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.


Miscellaneous Requirements:

There will be times that the individual may be required to perform a task other than their normal operation as required by the company or the foreman, owing to the job demand.
