Turner Industries Group is  looking for a self-motivated team player to assist in supporting the Human Capital Management areas of our business in the role of a Business Systems Analyst.  This position is located in Baton Rouge, LA in the Information Technology Department.  This position is in the Information Technology Department and primarily supports Personnel and Benefit Departments. Overall goal is focused around maintaining current ERP systems and processes while generating innovative solutions for future business needs. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Daily support to the Benefits and Personnel departments in all areas of their operations
  • Understanding the different Employee Hiring and Termination processes implemented by the Personnel Department and how they function with the JDE-E1 ERP System
  • Interpreting Employee related applications and understanding how each one interacts and affects employee records. Critical to maintain employee related files with data consistency
  • Gaining advanced knowledge of Benefit procedures to better accommodate needs to meet ACA Reporting (Affordable Care Act)
  • Involvement in yearly Open Enrollment for Benefits tasks; assistance in plan, vendor, and enrollment criteria updates
  • Assistance to third party software and custom company development that interacts with JDE-E1 and are integrated in Personnel and Benefit daily functions
  • Analyzing Benefit and Personnel related data to find application and program imperfections. Expediting Data cleanups to meet department timelines
  • Understanding that all areas within Human Capital Management have a direct relation to each other; communicating HCM development with Personnel and Benefits that could impact their procedures. Consistent communication amongst HCM-BSA team
  • Learning and utilizing current and future Reporting Tool products: Primary focus around ReportsNow(DAS) to familiarize with file structures and presenting solutions to improve business processes
  • Protecting all sensitive Employee Data as it relates to HCM Modules
  • Familiarizing and cross training on all HCM areas which primarily includes: Benefits, Payroll, Personnel and FASS-Time Entry

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS), Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
  • JD Edwards experience is a plus
  • Candidate must have the ability to manage large workloads and meet set deadlines.
  • Candidate must be organized, detailed oriented and self-sufficient in record keeping, and conduct his/her self in a professional manner.
  • Candidate must be able to work on projects as a team.
