Turner Industries Group is looking for an IT Operations Support Analyst I to join our Pipe Fabrication team in Paris, TX. The OA Analyst I will provide technical assistance to Turner employees in the use of Information Technology in a friendly, reliable, and dependable manner. This includes but is not limited to processing incidents and requests from start to completion in customer service, professional and friendly matter. The employee will utilize a combination of internal and external resources with the soul function of being the main point of contact for these service requests.

Functional Requirements:

  • Assume all functional requirements of the Operations Analyst General (Intern).
  • Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, modems, hard drives, etc.
  • Load and configure company standard image with system policy editor on all new and existing computers.
  • Replace defective or inadequate hardware.
  • Answer client's inquires in person and/or via telephone concerning computer issues hardware, software, and network. Diagnose system hardware, software, and operator challenges. Recommend and/or perform necessary actions to correct challenges based on knowledge of computer issues.
  • Call hardware and software vendors to request service regarding defective products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of computers and peripherals including filling out appropriate documentation.
  • Enforce PC policies, rules, and general guidelines approved by Executive Management.
  • Utilize available resources and training to stay current on technology.
  • Will participate in on call rotation as appropriate.
  • Will adhere to all company and operations support policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other specific duties assigned.
  • The position will work a schedule based on fabrication office hours and be 'on-call' for out of hours issues
  • The position may involve supporting and relieving other Operations Support Analysts at offices and job sites beyond their assigned location.
  • Proper tracking and justification of capital expenditures and other procurement requirements
  • Support Shop equipment including PLC, Bending Machines, CNC, cutting, Pantograph, and other devices as needed
  • Provide Technical Support, Training, and coordination for all areas of Fabrication Business Systems
  • Coordinate and supervise outside vendors to ensure that work is performed to contract and Turner standards

Qualification Standards:

  • Must be a customer service minded professional
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation required
  • Pass the required safety courses and comply with all required safety guidelines for OSHA and site specific standards
  • Must possess and maintain a current valid drivers license
  • Meet Operations Support customer service standards
  • Pass Operations Support competency exam
  • Lift 40 pounds without assistance
  • Minimum experience: 1+ years in PC support role
  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent plus 2 years of secondary education or equivalent work experience.
  • Credentials Preferred
  • Some knowledge of microcomputer hardware and common software applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, understand and execute oral and written instructions, and organize workload; must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to listen, understand and analyze problems over the phone is preferred but not necessary.

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate machines and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
